A resolution consenting to the assignment of an aviation operator agreement at the Aurora Municipal Airport between the City of Aurora and CG Aviation, Inc.
PURPOSE:
To obtain city Council approval of an assignment of an aviation operator agreement between the City of Aurora and CG Aviation, Inc..
BACKGROUND:
Guy Lieser, owner of CG Aviation, Inc, is requesting approval of an operating agreement allowing his company to perform aircraft acquisition, appraisal and repossession services at the Aurora Airport.
Mr. Lieser operated a similar business at the Aurora Airport under previous agreement doing business as Aircraft Strategies which was unanimously approved by the Airport Advisory Board.
DISCUSSION:
The proposed operating agreement is consistent with the latest operator agreement approved by City Council.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
The approval of this operator agreement should have no negative impact.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
We respectfully request that you forward this item to the Finance Committee for their review and favorable recommendation to the City Council.

WHEREAS, the City of Aurora has a population of more than 25,000 persons and is, therefore, a home rule unit under subsection (a) of Section 6 of Article VII of the Illinois Constitution of 1970; and
WHEREAS, subject to said Section, a home rule unit may exercise any power and perform any function pertaining to its government and affairs for the protection of the public health, safety, morals, and welfare; and
WHEREAS, The City owns, operates and maintains the Aurora Municipal Airport: and
WHEREAS, CG Aviation, Inc., previously doing business as Aircraft Strategies, desires to perform aircraft acquisition, appraisal and repossession services at the Aurora Municipal Airport.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Aurora, Illinois, as follows: The City Council of Aurora does hereby approve the Limited Operator Agreement between the City of Aurora and CG Aviation, Inc.
