A Resolution Appointing Laurie Hoffman as the Fox Valley Park District Representative to the Aurora Planning Commission.
I am forwarding to you a resolution which would appoint one new member to the Aurora Planning Commission.

A Resolution Appointing Laurie Hoffman as the Fox Valley Park District Representative to the Aurora Planning Commission

WHEREAS, the City of Aurora has a population of more than 25,000 persons and is, therefore, a home rule unit under subsection (a) of Section 6 of Article VII of the Illinois Constitution of 1970; and
WHEREAS, subject to said Section, a home rule unit may exercise any power and perform any function pertaining to its government and affairs for the protection of the public health, safety, morals, and welfare; and
WHEREAS, the Fox Valley Park District's seat on the Aurora Planning Commission was open; and
WHEREAS, it is the Mayor's desire that the Fox Valley Park District's Representative be appointed to said Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Aurora, Illinois hereby approve the appointment of Laurie Hoffman, 2502 W. Downer Place, Aurora, IL as a member of the Aurora Planning Commission.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the term of Laurie Hoffman shall expire on December 31, 2015, however in any event, the appointee shall serve until their respective replacement has been approved by the Council.
